In which working environment is the electric wheelbarrow used?
For professional use in agriculture, on construction sites or in horticulture, we recommend very robust models that are designed for harsh environments, such as the DONKEY XL and DONKEY XL-H models. Our entry-level DONKEY PLUS models are suitable for private and hobby applications.
What kind of surface and gradient do you need to drive on?
On uneven, soft or muddy ground, an electric wheelbarrow with large wheels and good traction is advantageous, such as the DONKEY XL and DONKEY XL-H. These models have an electric brake on the motor, which is automatically activated as soon as the electric wheelbarrow is stopped. The swing axle and differential on these models guarantee easy manoeuvring and good traction at all times. Although the DONKEY PLUS models have small wheels, they also manoeuvre perfectly on loose ground thanks to their lightweight design.
How heavy are the loads to be transported?
The load capacity of the electric wheelbarrow should match the planned transport weight. Choose a model that can safely handle the desired maximum weight. The load capacity varies depending on the model and ranges from up to 500 kg.
Which loads are to be transported?
Depending on the materials to be transported (e.g. soil, stones, bulk goods), the metal tray included in the scope of delivery can be used.
A larger, double-walled plastic tray is available for the Donkey Plus model, which is suitable for use in animal husbandry. An open loading platform is suitable for bales, sacks or crates.
How do I empty the tub of the electric pushcart?
The Donkey Plus has an ergonomically extended handle and is therefore easy to empty manually. The Donkey XL is supported by a gas spring.
The Donkey XL -H has an electric tub emptying system using a lifting cylinder.
Are there any restrictions on the terrain?
If the wheelbarrow has to pass through narrow passages or doors, it is advisable to check the width of the model carefully. A compact body with a narrower tub is the better choice in this case.
Which battery is used in the electric wheelbarrow?
We can supply either lead-acid or lithium-ion batteries. Compared to lead batteries, lithium-ion batteries have a shorter charging time and a longer running time per battery charge. The service life is also 2-3 times longer compared to the lead version. The service life of lead-acid batteries is 2-4 years.
