Criteria for selecting a cable reel
Power supply, signal or data transmission?
It is important to know how many cores the cable should have. Will the cable reel be used for a power supply (e.g. 230V or 400V), will it transmit signals (e.g. remote control of cranes, cable winches, etc.) or will it transmit data (bus systems, Ethernet)?
Cable length?
The length of the cable determines the working radius and the flexibility of the area of application. Select a sufficient cable length to ensure easy and efficient working.
Cable cross-section?
The diameter of the cable influences the electrical resistance. A suitable cable diameter ensures that the desired power can be transmitted. It should be noted that the power also depends on the cable length and whether the cable is coiled or uncoiled.
Spring return or motorised cable retractor?
For applications in which the cable reel is operated by one person, spring-loaded cable reels are the
