How do I store the Leader outside of the season?
At the end of the season, the device must be stored in a place that is protected from the weather and frost, otherwise water pipes may burst.
Can the specified pressure range be exceeded?
No, the specified maximum pressure must not be exceeded. The specified minimum pressure is required to operate the turbine. Any pressure loss during the supply line must be taken into account accordingly.
Is the Leader approved for use on public roads?
No, the Leader is not approved for use on public roads.
The throw range, sprinkler speed/flow rate per hour is too low. What should I do?
Check whether the working pressure and water volume correspond to the specified values. To do this, attach a pressure gauge to the device. If the distance to the water source is too great, the available pressure or water volume will decrease. Always choose a connection hose that is one size larger than the hose on the Leader.
In addition, the bypass must be opened to a maximum of 50%, otherwise sufficient pressure will not be built up in the system. The turbine must also be correctly coupled.
It should also be ensured that the pipe is not blocked by dirt or foreign objects. To do this, check the turbine at the turbine inlet, the hose connection, the sprinkler cart and the sector sprinkler, e.g. by unscrewing the nozzles.
The leader does not switch off automatically. What should I do?
The valve may be leaking. Check the seals, screws and cutting ring.
The hose is winding up unevenly and the hose reel is jamming. What should I do?
Always wind the hose onto the hose reel under tension and adjust the return brake when pulling out the hose.
The turbine is not working properly. What should I do?
The turbine must always be completely disengaged when rolling out the hose. A leaking turbine can be resealed by replacing the O-rings if necessary.
